What is the Law of Attraction?

Law of Attraction | Xena
… And How to Reap the Rewards as a Female Founder

“All that we are is the result of what we have thought.”
– Buddha

You may not be aware of it, but every moment of every day, your life is actively being influenced by universal forces. Much like gravity, the Law of Attraction is constantly affecting you, creating your reality in ways unimaginable.

For those familiar with the terminology, The Law of Attraction may allude to ideas of the stereotypical millennial, collecting quartz crystals and using horoscopes to self-diagnose their life problems (Let me guess, Mercury was in retrograde?). The truth, however, is far from it and much more simple!

What is the Law of Attraction?

The Law of Attraction is a philosophy that suggests that ‘like attracts like’. At its core, it implies that positive outcomes are a result of positive thinking, while negative outcomes are brought forth by negative thinking. Although many are quick to dismiss this philosophy as pop science, its origins date back to ancient practices and teachings of the Far East.

Lao Tzu, an ancient Chinese philosopher, once said: “Watch your thoughts, they become your words; watch your words, they become your actions; watch your actions, they become your habits; watch your habits, they become your character; watch your character, it becomes your destiny.”

Ultimately, the Law of Attraction is built on the belief that life is not simply happening to you but rather that you are creating your reality with everything you think, say and do. The good news? Once you understand how the Law of Attraction works, you can use it to create your dream life (including your dream business!).

The 3 Principles of the Law of Attraction

1. Like attracts like

The Law of Attraction requires a mix of intention, action and trust in divine timing. Just like a magnet, you are attracting either negative or positive outcomes based on your thoughts or the energy that you’re putting out into the world (even when you’re not aware of it).

2. Nature abhors a vacuum

This principle suggests that removing negative things from your life will make space for more positive things. It is based on the idea that empty space cannot exist, so it’s best to fill your life and your thoughts with positive things, instead of negative.

3. The present is always perfect

The last principle proposes that there is always something that can be done to make the present better. Rather than feeling dread, unhappiness and disappointment, focus your energy on fundamentally shifting your mindset to that of abundance and gratitude. Acknowledge the undesired event or thought but let it go. This way, you will realign your reality to attract positivity.

Step 1:
Desire

What is it that you want? To reach a financial goal? To find your dream business partner? The sky’s the limit but be specific in setting your intention.

Step 3: Affirm

Believe that what you desire is already yours and that you are (truly) worthy of it.

Step 4: Apply

It’s time to take action! Break your goal into digestible tasks and start doing them.

Step 5: Find Gratitude

Find gratitude for what you already have.

Step 6: Trust

Trust in divine timing. Let go and allow life to unfold as it should.

Step 7: Receive

Receive with an open heart.
