The Future of AI for Small Businesses

Author: Xenie Bot 3000

Artificial intelligence is changing the way we do business. While some see AI as a job killer, others are embracing it as an opportunity to augment existing processes and create new opportunities for human capital.

It comes down to this: whether your small business is ready for AI today or not, being prepared for its impact on the future of business should be part of your strategy!

What exactly is Artificial Intelligence?

In a nutshell, AI (Artificial Intelligence) refers to machines that can simulate human behaviour and responses, such as solving problems on their own. Some call it “thinking” like humans do—but let’s not get ahead of ourselves here! Read our blog
“The Difference between AI, AR and VR” to find out more.

How is AI changing the way we do business?

When we’re talking about AI, the first thing that may come to mind is data (information captured through channels like cookies, social media and surveys). Businesses are using their captured data to develop better strategies, venture out to new markets, optimise workflows, lower costs and much more!

Through accurate data capturing, businesses are also able to increase personalisation, finding new ways to develop products and promote their message tailored specifically to their customers.

What’s more, AI allows us to complete all of these tasks without having to manually dedicate significant time and resources. By increasing business automation, founders are finally able to focus on what matters most – coming up with creative solutions and thinking about how they can scale their business.

So, are humans replaceable?

Artificial Intelligence helps in finding solutions to complex business problems in a more human-like fashion. While it may resemble characteristics, there’s really no need to fear this technology!

AI won’t be a job killer. In fact, AI will create new jobs that we haven’t even thought of yet! The technology is best used in conjunction with human employees to help them free up time for higher-level tasks.

Ways that Small Business Owners can implement AI Technologies

There are many ways that you can start using AI today! Some examples include:

  • Using Intelligent Virtual Assistants (IVA) such as Chatbots and automated responses
  • Make use of Meta Advertising dynamic ads that optimise your creative and copy selection for optimal results.
  • Use an AI Heatmap tool like hotjar.com to show you where users are clicking on your website
  • Start using an AI Speech-to-text tool like otter.ai to transcribe your presentations, write articles and more.
  • If you’re a designer, try using AI Drawing tools like AutoDraw or HotPot for inspiration.
  • Use AI time tracking tools like Timely or Everhour

So, what do you say, ladies? Are you ready to embrace technology and start implementing AI in your small business? Perhaps you’ve already adopted some of these tools without realising it’s based on artificial intelligence! Either way, the future of AI is upon us, and it’s looking bright!
